Founded in March, 2003 and registered in Jiuquan city, Gansu province of China, Jiuquan Torching Seed Company is a private limited seed company with 5.5 million RMB investments, which now is focusing in hybrid seed production like corn seed, sunflower seed, vegetable seed and melon seed. There are 60 employees in the company now, of which, 45 people are technicians in the five departments of production, quality control, production research, processing, finance and administration.

  Located in the high and new technology park of Suzhou district, Jiuquan city, Torching seed company covers 8 hectors of land, of which 38000square meters are the normal warehouses, drying yards and cold warehouses. The company also owns an advanced seed processing line and a national standard test lab, which has 10000mt of processing capacity every winter.

   Torching Seed Company specializes in seed production and processing for local and multi-national seed companies. Since 2003, it produces 6000mt seed every year for 20 seed companies successfully.

         Jiuquan has been growing to be the important seed production base for domestic companies and largest seed production base for overseas companies in last 20 years, because Jiuquan locates at the west part of the Hexi corridor and owns bumper land, rich sunshine, heat unit and irrigation water. The altitude ranges from 1300 to 1700 meters,  it gets 3000-3300 hours of sunshine and 3398-4086 ℃ of heat units with 130-159 frost-free days and 12-16 ℃ of temperature difference between  day and night. The seed kernels are characrictic with good appereance and high vigor.

        The company has developed lots of young technicians who have good skill of seed production and farm management since its founding. Torching Seed Company has also utilized the ISO system to form its own “seed quality manure” and to manage the seed quality from the warehouse to planting, field management, pollination, harvesting, seed collection etc.
